Who are We?
JesusAtlantic is Christian non-profit ministry serving Atlantic Canada.

JesusAtlantic Ministries Association is an Incorporated Non-Profit Society in Nova Scotia with the Registry of Joint Stock Companies and Societies (#3093739).

The JesusAtlantic web site is our main resource. It went online in April 2002, and had its official launch in September 2002. The mission of this resource ministry is to facilitate communication, networking, and unity in the Christian community in Atlantic Canada.

Our goal is simple - to serve and support the Christian ministries on the east coast of Canada. By providing one central place on the web, we connect Christians and ministries together so that Jesus may be glorified and lifted up, and that there may be unity.
JesusAtlantic Team Members
JesusAtlantic was started with the desire to serve and support Christian ministries and the Christian community here on the east coast. The ministry is completely staffed by volunteers. Those involved dedicate their time to this effort because they desire to build a strong spiritual community in our region. They have other full-time jobs, but dedicate their "free time" to this ministry and the pursuit of unity. Why JesusAtlantic?
What's in the name? Many people have asked why we are called JesusAtlantic. Really it is quite simple. Jesus is first and foremost in our lives as Christians. We believe that Jesus is the only hope for the world. So, we wanted to be very up front about the fact that Jesus is first in this ministry, and that our goal is to support ministries that put Jesus first in our region - Atlantic Canada.
Services We Provide
Communication - JesusAtlantic has two core communication tools - the JesusAtlantic web site and our Connecting Points e-newsletter. These serve to connect the Christian community in Atlantic Canada.

Marketing/Communications Consultation - As Christians, we have the best message on earth to market - unfortunately we are some of the worst marketers on this planet! JesusAtlantic works with ministries to develop marketing tools (electronic and print) to help them promote their ministries and events to their immediate communities and our region.

Event Development and Promotion - JesusAtlantic works with ministries to plan and develop events that will encourage and build-up the Christians of Atlantic Canada and spread the Good News message of the Bible. Sometimes these events are developed solely by JesusAtlantic, other times they are collaborative ministry efforts to reach our region with the Gospel.

Training - JesusAtlantic provides and facilitates training to the leaders of our region. Most ministry leaders are very "over-taxed" in their daily ministry responsibilities We help train leaders to strengthen their leadership skills - which impacts their organizations with stronger visions and encourages them and their people as they see their ministry and community impact grow. Our training can take the form of seminars, conferences, or small group sessions.

Please contact us for more information on any of these services so we can help you and your ministry grow and succeed!
What We Believe
Because JesusAtlantic is a regional ministry, with a mission to promote unity, networking, and communication among all Christians and Christian organizations in Atlantic Canada; we accept the large areas of doctrinal teaching on which historically there has been general agreement among Christians.

We desire to allow for freedom of conviction on other doctrinal matters provided that any interpretation is based upon the Bible alone and that no such interpretation shall become an issue which hinders the ministry to which God has called us in this region.

The following are our fundamental beliefs. We will endeavour to support all ministries and organizations which endorse these core principles. That being said, it is not our responsibility to justify the stand of all organizations with which we network. Please understand that we attempt to serve organizations that adhere to the core principles outlined below. However, we do not accept accountability for the personal beliefs or agendas of any one organization or person that we provide communication for on this site. Please use wisdom to assess each organization's beliefs on an individual basis.

We believe in the Bible - the Holy Scriptures (both the Old and New Testaments) as inspired by God, and inerrant in the original writings, and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life.

We believe that there is one true God, eternally existing in three persons - the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Each possesses equally all the attributes of Deity and the characteristics of personality.
Jesus Christ is God, the living Word, who became flesh through His miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit and His virgin birth. He is therefore, perfect Deity and true humanity united in one person forever.

He lived a sinless life and voluntarily atoned for our sins by dying on the cross as our substitute, thus satisfying divine justice and accomplishing salvation for all who trust in Him alone.

He rose from the dead in the same body, though glorified, in which He had lived and died.

He ascended bodily into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God the Father, where He continually makes intercession for His own.
We were originally created in the image of God. We sinned by disobeying God. As a result we were alienated from our Creator. That historic fall brought all men and women under divine condemnation.

Our nature is corrupted, and we are thus totally unable to please God. Every person is in need of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit.

Our salvation is a work of God's free grace. God imputes His righteousness to those who put their faith in Jesus for their salvation, and thereby they become justified in His sight.

It is the privilege of all who are born again of the Spirit to be assured of their salvation from the very moment in which they trust Jesus as their Saviour. This assurance is produced by the witness of the Holy Spirit, who confirms in the believer the testimony of God in His written Word.

The Holy Spirit has come into the world to reveal and glorify Jesus and to apply the saving work of Christ to all men and women. He convicts and draws sinners to Christ. He imparts new life to them and continually indwells them from the moment of spiritual birth and seals them until the day of redemption. His fullness, power and control are appropriated in the believer's life by faith.

We as believers, are called to live in the power of the indwelling Spirit so that we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh but will bear fruit for the glory of God.

Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church, His Body, which is composed of all men and women, living and dead, who have been joined to Him through saving faith.

God admonishes His people to assemble together regularly for worship, for participation in ordinances, for edification through the Scriptures and for mutual encouragement.

At physical death believers enter immediately into eternal conscious fellowship with the God, and await the resurrection of their body to everlasting glory and blessing.

At physical death unbelievers enter immediately into eternal conscious separation from God and await the resurrection of their body to everlasting judgement and condemnation.

Jesus Christ will come again to the earth - personally, visibly and bodily - to consummate history and the eternal plan of God.

The Lord Jesus commanded all believers to proclaim the gospel throughout the world and to disciple men and women of every nation. The fulfilment of that Great Commission requires that all worldly and personal ambitions be subordinated to a total commitment to "Him who loved us and gave Himself for us."
