“Canadian Christian Recording Artist finds permanent home base in Maritimes”

MONCTON – Word of Faith Church in Cap-Pele, New Brunswick [Moncton area] has just announced the signing of their new full time Worship Pastor & Music director Martine Kelsey

Pastor Brian Bourque who officially released this announcement on September 1st, 2010 via social media giant Facebook, seemed very excited about his new Worship Pastor;

“I am proud to announce that Martine Kelsey has accepted the position of Worship Pastor of our Church…Let me say Thank you Jesus!”
– Pastor Brian Bourque

Martine Kelsey, an East Coast Music Award & Canadian Gospel Music Award Artist, and Mercy Award winner has been an active member of the Canadian Christian music industry since early 2000’s after her debut album release, “Here to Stay.” Martine has shared the stage with some other amazing talent including; Starfield, Downhere, NewWorldSon, FamilyForce5, Jon Buller, Toronto Mass Choir and the list goes on.

In recent years Martine was based out of Western Canada as an Artist with Avante Records in Winnipeg, MB. Touring extensively with Grammy Award Nominee Fresh IE and time on tour with Amanda Falk and Beautiful Unique Girl, Martine also had the opportunity to perform her new single “A Mother’s Song” live for the David Foster Organization with great reviews. “Stunning, absolutely stunning!” – Victoria Cook

Since Martine’s return to the Maritimes in 2009, she was based primarily out of Halifax, NS performing and leading worship at a variety of events throughout the region. Though she admitted she never thought she would settle down so to speak and accept a role of this nature, speaking of the Worship Pastor position in general, she felt this to be an open door by God himself and wanted to be obedient.

Word of Faith Church, also known as; Eglise Parole De La Foi, (Faith Life Ministries) was founded by parent ministry Christ Church in Moncton, NB. Word of Faith Church, based out of Cap-Pele, NB is a timely growing Church ministry in that area, seeing its church family quadrupole over this past year to the point of a much needed building expansion. This english based but bilingual church family who recently saw Pastor Gary Hooper of New Covenant Ministries (Dartmouth NS) as a guest speaker, strives to serve their local community, hosting a variety of weekly services and is well known for their vibrant and passionate Worship, Teaching and Healing services.
Word of Faith Church has stated they will support Martine Kelsey as invitations are received requesting her involvement with events, conferences and ministry functions with outside ministries throughout the Country and surrounding areas.

As the role of the Worship Pastor on Church staffs seems to be becoming more and more relevant in today’s Church of Canada, one can only be excited as progress is made in front of our own eyes.

Atlantic Ministry News : All Together Worship
Posted by JesusAtlantic on 2010/6/23 18:59:26 (192 reads)

After hearing that “Worship in the Square” would not be taking place this year, a new event has been established, All Together Worship 2010. Spearheaded by the Burtts Corner Church of Christ, this free event is designed for all denominations and all walks of life. The event will take place on Saturday, August 21, 2010 in a neutral location at the Keswick Landing Mall allowing us to invite the general public to participate without financial obligation.
The name of the event was derived from the worship chorus, “Here I Am To Worship”. As we meditated on this familiar song we were drawn to the part of the chorus that says “You’re altogether lovely, altogether worthy, altogether wonderful to me”. Though the writer of the chorus was obviously pouring their heart out to God, we were drawn to reflect on God’s plan for us. He wants all of us together with Him for eternity. There is no better way to celebrate our “…lovely, …worthy, …wonderful” Heavenly Father, then by coming together to worship Him!

The goal of this event is to unite area churches and reach out in Christian love to Fredericton and the surrounding region. It is our prayer that through this event, lives will be changed and families strengthened through the saving power of Jesus Christ.

We are extremely excited to announce that 2010 Dove Award Winning Artists, the Sidewalk Prophets (www.sidewalkprophets.com), have been chosen to lead this free worship concert! Their hit song “These Are The Words I Would Say” was featured in the major motion picture “Fireproof”. Two time Super Bowl Champion Lee Rouson will also be on hand to share his inspiring testimony with us. Other artists will be announced soon so stay tuned to this website. You can also sign-up to be part of our Facebook or Twitter groups where you will receive all the event news and updates.

Alive on the Island ll will feature top Atlantic Canadian artists and the return of one of Cape Breton’s most revered Christian Music groups, Four for the Lord who will re-unite for the first time in 5 years. The reunion will take place as part of the Friday night show.

Rita MacNeil and friends will headline Saturday night’s East Coast Inspiration concert plus multiple ECMA winners The Burke Family, North Preston Gospel favorites The Sanctified Brothers, ECMA winner Chelsea Nisbett, Amanda Mozvik and a house band featuring some of the East Coast’s finest musicians. Four for the Lord, Cape Breton's multi-award winning Contemporary Christian band will perform their much anticipated reunion concert as the highlight of the Friday evening musical celebration. Atlantic Ministry News : World Vision to Rally Halifax
Posted by JesusAtlantic on 2010/4/14 7:29:54 (260 reads)

On Sunday April 25th, join World Vision at Sackville Landing in Halifax, and show the G8 Development Ministers that you believe 5 years is NOT a child’s lifetime!

The Details:

Where: Sackville Landing on the Waterfront, Halifax, Nova Scotia
When: Sunday, April 25th, 2010, 1:00pm – 2:00pm
Why: Join hundreds of others in creating a giant “5” to tell our global leaders that you believe five years is NOT a child’s lifetime and that you expect them to take action at the G8
What to wear: Wear a white shirt
What to bring: Bring a white towel or sheet, as well as white children’s objects – teddy bears, bottles, toys, strollers, stuffed animals etc.
Who to bring: Everyone you know! Children are very welcome too.
Contact person in Halifax: Mark Miller –

The Purpose:

Every year, 8.8 million children under the age of five die from preventable causes. We know the solutions, but our global leaders have lacked the will to implement them.

Ministers responsible for international development from all the G8 nations will be meeting in Halifax from April 26th–28th. The outcome of these talks will contribute to the substance of the upcoming G8 meetings in Muskoka, Ontario this June, and will greatly influence Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s approach to the child and maternal health discourse during the G8 summit.

Prime Minister Harper has stated that child and maternal health will be on the G8 agenda, but we need to make sure the G8 leaders do more than pay lip service to this preventable tragedy.

On Sunday, April 25th at 1:00pm, be part of making a giant “5” with hundreds of other people at Sackville Landing in Halifax to send a clear message to our political leaders that they must make a concrete commitment to children under five and their mothers at the G8!

The bigger the “5 the stronger the message, so come out and support mothers and children around the world!

Hope to see you there!
